A man is facing murder charges after his girlfriend allegedly killed her mother-in-law and a grandmother in what police said was an act of revenge.
According to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, 40-year-old John C. DeBlasio Jr. was arrested on Tuesday.
Authorities say DeBlacio and his girlfriend, 23-year old Kimberly DeBlacco, were in an argument in their apartment when she went to the kitchen to grab something.
The argument turned violent, and DeBlaco allegedly stabbed her in the back.
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department said Kimberly DeBacco was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kimberly DeBarosa, 57, died at the hospital.
The cause of death has not been released.
Prosecutors said DeBlasi is the father of Kimberly Deblacco, who is the mother of Kimberly’s daughter.
She is the second person to be killed in California since the start of the year.
Authorities said Kimberly and her husband, John DeBlasso, were married in 2007 and divorced in 2008.
Kimberly’s mother died in 2009.
Authorities say Kimberly and John DeBaros were married before their divorce and divorced again in 2016.
Kimberly had been pregnant with their third child when she died.
John DeBarosi was arrested and booked into the Santa Ana Jail on suspicion of murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
His bond was set at $1 million.
